1. About these Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Stream Student website, learning platform and related services (“Platform”). The Platform is operated by Univer International FZ LLC (“Univer”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian should review these Terms with you and provide any consent required by applicable law. The Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled.
2. Our Services
Stream Student supports students, parents, educators and schools with educational services that may include on-demand subject courses, test preparation, career guidance, tutor discovery and matching, school-created learning resources, interactive learning tools, AI-supported tutors and study assistance, and scheduled live-streamed educational sessions. Virtual internships and additional features may be introduced in the future and will be subject to availability and any supplementary participation rules. Features, instructors and content can change over time.
3. Eligibility and Student Safety
You must be legally able to use the Platform. Users under 18 must have parent or guardian involvement and consent where required. We may request age confirmation or verified consent and restrict features that are inappropriate for a user's age. Children under 13 may use the Platform only where the required legal basis, verification and safeguards are in place; do not create or use such an account without the required authorization. We may disable accounts where age or permission requirements are not met. Live interaction, messaging, public sharing and other social features may be limited by age and local law.
4. Accounts and School Access
Provide accurate registration information, keep your login details secure and notify us of unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity on your account to the extent permitted by law. Where a school creates, invites or administers an account, the school may assign learning activities, monitor relevant school-related progress and manage access according to its agreement with Univer and applicable law. School users should follow their institution's policies as well as these Terms. Do not share another person's account or impersonate them.
5. Courses, Tutors and Educational Guidance
Course descriptions, tutor profiles, schedules, qualifications, fees, language and availability should be reviewed before enrollment or booking. Some courses or tutoring may be supplied by independent educators or other third parties, whose identity and role will be identified where applicable. We aim for reliable information but do not promise particular examination results, grades, university admission, scholarships, employment or career outcomes. Career information is informational and should be checked with the relevant educational institution or qualified professional before major decisions.
6. Prices, Payments, Cancellations and Refunds
Paid offerings, where available, will display their price, currency, duration, included access, payment terms and any applicable taxes or recurring billing details before purchase. You authorize the stated charge when you confirm an order. Any specific cancellation, rescheduling or refund policy presented at checkout or for an individual tutor or course will form part of the purchase terms. Refund rights required by applicable consumer law remain unaffected. Where a purchased service is not supplied as described or has a qualifying defect, contact us through the support channel listed below so we can assess a remedy. Do not assume a subscription auto-renews unless that is explicitly disclosed at purchase.
7. Live Sessions and Community Conduct
Join live lessons and streams respectfully. Do not bully, harass, threaten, discriminate, solicit personal contact details from minors, share inappropriate material, record or redistribute sessions without authorization, or attempt to move underage users into unsafe private communication. Educators and school administrators must maintain appropriate professional boundaries. We may moderate participation, remove content, suspend interactive access or report serious safeguarding issues to competent authorities when appropriate. Any recording of a session must be disclosed in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
8. AI Tutors and Automated Features
AI-generated explanations, practice material, study suggestions and career-related responses may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for a specific learner. Verify important information and seek help from a teacher, counselor or qualified professional when necessary. Do not submit sensitive personal information, passwords, financial details or another student's confidential information into AI chat fields. AI features support learning and do not replace teacher judgment, professional advice or independently verified assessment. Any automated analysis of student activity is subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable safeguards.
9. Virtual Internships and Future Features
If virtual internships become available, each opportunity will specify its eligibility, provider, tasks, timelines, assessment criteria, certificates (if any), privacy arrangements and whether it is paid or unpaid. Participation does not guarantee employment, academic credit, a certificate or placement unless expressly stated for that opportunity. Specific internship participation terms may apply and will be provided before enrollment.
10. Intellectual Property and User Contributions
Univer and its licensors retain their rights in Platform software, branding, layouts and educational material. Subject to payment and account status, you receive a limited, personal, non-transferable right to access purchased or assigned learning content for its stated use. You may not reproduce, resell, scrape, redistribute or commercially exploit materials without permission. You retain rights in original work you submit. You grant Univer a limited license to host, process, display to authorized educators or reviewers, and otherwise use submissions only as needed to provide, secure and improve the services as described in the Privacy Policy. Only upload work you are permitted to share.
11. Acceptable Use
Do not use the Platform unlawfully, cheat on assessments in violation of applicable rules, infringe others' rights, upload malicious code, bypass access controls, disrupt service, scrape data without authorization or misuse student information. You may not use the Platform to exploit, groom or endanger children. We may investigate suspected violations and take proportionate action including removal, suspension or termination, while preserving any mandatory rights and legal obligations.
12. External Links and Providers
The Platform may connect to third-party video services, payment processors, education partners or other websites. Their separate terms and privacy notices may apply. Links do not imply endorsement, and we are not responsible for independently operated services except as required by law or expressly agreed.
13. Availability, Changes and Termination
We aim to make the Platform available consistently but may conduct maintenance, correct errors, remove unlawful material or modify functionality. We will provide appropriate notice for material changes affecting paid access where reasonably possible. You may request account closure through the contact details below. We may restrict or terminate access for serious violations, safeguarding concerns or legal requirements, subject to applicable law and any refund or retention obligations.
14. Disclaimers and Liability
Educational content and technology are provided with reasonable care, but no particular academic or career outcome is guaranteed. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses arising solely from user misuse or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or removes mandatory consumer, data protection or child-safety rights.
15. Applicable Law and Disputes
These Terms are intended to be governed by applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates, subject to mandatory protections and jurisdictional rules that may apply to a user. Please contact us first to seek an informal resolution. Any court or dispute resolution forum will be determined in accordance with applicable law; these Terms do not remove a consumer's mandatory legal remedies.
16. Updates to These Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect new services, legal requirements or operational changes. We will update the “Last updated” date and give additional notice when legally required or when a change materially affects users. Continuing to use the Platform following effective notice constitutes acceptance only to the extent allowed by law.
